Complete Door Sets: Leaf, Frame and Architrave
Most importers don't want to source the door from one supplier and the frame from another. We make the full set in the same timber and the same finish, so the colour matches and every part fits when it reaches site.
- Door leafSolid panel, louvre, glazed or flush, in single or double door configurations.
- Door frame (jamb)Made to your wall thickness and opening size, finished to match the leaf.
- Architrave and trimsPlain or fluted casing that covers the gap between frame and wall.
Send us your opening sizes or a door schedule and we will quote leaves, frames and architraves line by line.
Door Styles From Recent Orders
Besides the catalogue designs above, these are doors we have actually built and shipped. Any of them can be repeated in your own size, timber and colour.
Door Colours and Gloss Levels
The finishing systems listed above decide how the coating is built. Colour and gloss level decide how the door looks. These are the shades our buyers order most, and we can work from your own colour sample as well.
- Dark maroon
- Light maroon
- Dark brown
- Reddish brown
- Golden brown
- Natural wood
Matte
Low sheen that shows the wood grain and hides small fingerprints. A calm, modern look for interiors.
Satin
A soft glow between matte and gloss. Easy to clean and forgiving on busy doors in homes and offices.
High gloss
A mirror-like coat with deep colour. Very popular for main entrance doors in Africa and the Middle East.
How a Nusantara Wood Door Is Built
A wooden door lives with sun on one side and air conditioning on the other. These four details are what keep it straight, tight and quiet for years.
Stile and rail frame
The door is built as a frame of vertical stiles and horizontal rails, with panels set inside, so it moves less than one wide board.
Machined joints
Slots and joints are cut on machines for a tight fit, including the angled mortises that hold each louvre slat.
Checked for square
Frames and joints are checked with a try square before gluing, so the door hangs evenly in its frame.
Sanded before coating
Every leaf is sanded in stages before finishing, which is what makes a high gloss coat look smooth instead of wavy.
Export Packing for Wooden Doors
Finished doors are heavy and their faces scratch easily. We pack them for weeks at sea and several rounds of handling at the port.
- Protected faces and edgesEach leaf is wrapped and its corners protected before stacking.
- Stacked flat with spacersDoors lie flat on pallets with spacers between them, so finished faces never rub.
- Labelled per orderPallets are marked by design, size and quantity to make unloading and checking easy.
- Lashed inside the containerPallets are loaded and secured so nothing shifts on the voyage, then the container is sealed at our yard.
Questions About Our Wooden Doors
Answers to what contractors and door importers ask before ordering.
Can you make wooden doors in my own sizes and designs?
Yes. Every order is made to your opening sizes, panel layout and drawings. You can start from one of our catalogue designs, send a photo of a door you like, or share a full door schedule for a project.
Do you supply the frame and architrave with the door?
Yes. We supply complete door sets: the door leaf, the frame (jamb) and the architrave, all in the same timber and finish. You can also order leaves only or frames only if you already have the rest.
Which wood is best for an exterior door?
For doors that face sun and rain, we recommend teak, merbau or bangkirai. All three are dense and naturally durable. Mahogany also works well for main entrances that are sheltered by a porch or canopy.
Which wood is best for interior doors?
Mahogany is our most popular interior door timber because it is stable and takes colour beautifully. Meranti, nyatoh, sungkai and kamper are good choices when you want a lighter tone or a lower price point.
What is the difference between a panel door and a flush door?
A panel door has a visible frame of stiles and rails with raised or flat panels set inside, which gives a classic, detailed look. A flush door has a completely flat face, which suits modern interiors and smooth painted or duco finishes.
Can I choose the colour and gloss level?
Yes. Popular colours include dark maroon, light maroon, dark brown, reddish brown, golden brown and natural wood, in matte, satin or high gloss. If you have a specific shade, send us a colour sample and we will match it before production.
Will solid wood doors warp in a hot or humid climate?
Warping usually comes from wet timber. We kiln-dry our wood to 10 to 12% moisture content before machining, and build doors with stile and rail construction, which keeps them much more stable once installed.
Can I mix different door designs in one container?
Yes. You can combine different designs, sizes and finishes in the same shipment, as well as frames and architraves. We list everything per pallet in the packing list so it is easy to check on arrival.
What documents come with an export door order?
Our timber is SVLK certified, and each shipment includes the SVLK V-Legal document, phytosanitary certificate and fumigation certificate, along with the commercial invoice and packing list.
